I keep all my important stuff on a UPS that can generally last a couple of hours if I don't shut anything down, and about 5 hours if I only keep the modem, router, VoIP and phone powered. Usually R cable has stayed online unless a power outage went beyond 4 hours. I'm on my second outage this week and the modem has dropped it's signal immediately both times (first was a hydro one planned outage, tonight it is very windy). Is this worth submitting a ticket? I suspect their own customers are losing home phone as well and 911 service (it's too late at night to ask my neighbors). Not an emergency so not going to call support as I don't need an immediate answer.
