I was informed by Start last Wednesday that i had been added to the beta list due to a laundry list of continuous issues. When I turned on the TV this morning I did the usual Force Stop but instead of immediately re-opening the app i went to the home screen. The Start app indicated update pending. There was no indication on how to install it so I rummaged through the settings and selected About - Restart. The box immediately shut down. The network light remained green but the power light was not lit. I left it for about 5 minutes thinking it was updating. When nothing changed i called Start Support and got through to someone immediately. She recommended I use the switch to power off for 1 minute and then power back on. I did that and the TV came back up as expected.
I asked her if I had received the update and she could not tell me. She had no idea what firmware I was running on. I asked her to how to manually initiate the update and she was unsure. The best she could do is send me to the System Information within the app and compare numbers on the Shell version and the Player version. Mine seemed to be higher than hers so she said I must have gotten the update. I expressed my surprise that she could not confirm this more confidentally.
My App version is 20200131-5f89199-3-s104 (The support lady's number was lower, 2019...)
My Player version is Azuki Version: 3.0.0.e613f5e466
So, do I have the firmware or not? I only got the update pending on one of my three boxes but the numbers above are the same on all three.
