Hi,
Tonight someone in the house was twitch broadcasting and noticed a significant amount of dropped frames due to packet loss. Upon investigation via my pfSense system quality monitors and I noticed that around noon on December 31st we began to experience a consistent minor amount of packet loss.
I have attached some of my pfSense quality graph to help visualize the issue. The 2 Day graph is showing the past 48 hours. The blue line represents packet loss from a ping to my Start gateway (108.168.63.161). Before noon the line is flat at 0.00% loss, after noon there is a relatively consistent ~1% packet loss. The large dip is when I restarted the modem. The pfsense box is directly connected to the modem.
I called into support line and went through some diagnostics (including pinging the gateway which showed a 1% packet loss) and was told there was no issue on their end.
Not really sure where to go from here.
