Unfortunately our TV service is currently down, and appears to be an issue with the MediaKind DRM. Engineers are working on it and we expect service to be restored shortly. The bad news is that this is the third or fourth time we've seen this issue, the good news is that we seem to be making progress towards the root cause and getting it resolved once and for all.
This system is capable of scaling to millions of customers, so we understand it's frustrating to have had several recent short outages. Rest assured it's being treated at the highest levels to get the service to rock-solid stability. We believe it's close, and will be transparent with updates and changes as they occur.
Sorry for the delay in getting an update out, our work towards a real-time monitor for all services will help automate this in the future.
We are using this outage however to do some other work that would have otherwise been scheduled later this week, specifically completing the last of the uplink redundancy with one of our signal providers (or other signal provider was already completed to have redundant links), as well as bringing on a handful of channels on the new transcoders.
